This year the MGM cross country team has thirty runners, and they are coached by Charlie Crabtree.  At their first race, which was hosted by MGM, Francisco Sandoval was the top runner.  On Saturday, September 10, Robert Kichler took first place at the meet.  Kichler has been suffering from a knee injury since February, but he is making his comback this season.  He ran the race in 18:18. 

Coach Crabtree is concerned that he has lost many runners this year due to running injuries. 

For the girls’ division, Katelyn Wood is the top runner.  She represents the varsity runners this year. 

Cross Country will participate in another race at Gulf Pines Golf Course.  This race is called the Azalea City Classic, and it is sponsored by the University of South Alabama.
