Students were called to MGM’s lobby by surprise early one morning the second week of school.  Upon their arrival, they were greeted by MGM’s school board representative Ken Megginson who loves to recognize students for their achievements.  Mr. Megginson has become known for his “Happy Day” awards, and students are always truly happy to receive his honorary recognition.  On this day, some of MGM’s sports stars were recognized.  Sarah Duren, Lily DeSousa and Lauren McCain were recognized for the excellence in soccer.  Karlecia Allen was recognized for her track performance.  Chase Patterson was recognized for his role on MGM’s baseball team.  Quinton Campbell took the happy for basketball, and Rebekah Matheny was honored for her softball success.   In addition to the sports stars receiving happies, Mr. Megginson wanted to recognize the MGM Azalea Trail Maids for their success in being chosen for the Court for the 2011-2012 school year.  Brianne Murray, Heather Turner, Camille Leach, Amy Johnson, Casey Wheeler and Hannah Waters were all smiles with their happy recognitions.
